Staff Awards

To show their appreciation for all their hard work Karen and Mario took the team out for a staff jolly! Bowling and food, a few beverages and a good time was had by all! Awards were given out to the team. Special thanx to Karen for driving the mini bus and to Niecy, James and Will for covering at the pub while Mario and family were on holiday.!!

Congratulations to the Miners Exiles Quoits team for winning the league and bringing home the silverware! They are looking forward to a lavish steak dinner followed by one of Marios famous cheeseboards to celebrate! Not to be outdone the Miners Ladies Skittlers have also won their league ! More silverware for Sue Fish to polish on a Monday Morning!!

Miners of the Month

Knuckles!

Knuckles can be found in his comfy seat in the regulars bar every Sunday. He runs our thrift club and is a player in our league winning 'Exiles' quoits team. He will never see this as he still listens to music on a gramaphone and doesn't like new singers like Max Bygraves, let alone have a PC. He runs the quiz every other Monday and plays the bones after one or two bottles of Bulmers!

Sons of the Delta play an earthy, passionate blend of electric/acoustic juke joint and street corner delta blues flavoured with the many roots music styles from the southern states of the USA. The ‘Sons’ are fronted by two of the top bluesmen in the southwest UK - Mark Cole and Rick Edwards. They frequently play at the Miners.
